Me and my friends are planning to visit Barcelona this summer. I’ve never been there so far therefore I’m not sure how much money will be required to take with me. I want to spend it on decent food, sight seeing and other attractive things. Can anyone help me?

I agree, it really depends on how long you’re staying, but with the hotel I think could be 100 euros per day…

I’m traveling to Barcelona in may and we are staying there for 3 day before we go on a cruise to Italy. Does anyone have a tips for how to dress or what not to do while I’m there? Or like where to stay away from? I’ve never traveled outside the USA before and I’m nervous and excited but I would appreciate if someone with experience in Spain could give me some helpful pointers?

Tips for dress depend a little on the time of year. If you are here in the summer from july to September then the weather is hot and quite humid, then just wear light summer clothes and bring swim wear, if you want to visit the beaches.

Re what to see in Barcelona during your visit

A 3 day visit is perfect! You will love Barcelona. I would recommend the following
Day 1: Take a hop-op-off-bus tours for one day and see most of the sights in Barcelona
Day 2 Walk around the charming old parts of Barcelona, the gothic area and El Born, where the tourist buses don’t go because of narrows streets etc.
Day 3. Relax on beaches in or outside Barcelona or book a small group day trip out of Barcelona to visit Montserrat mountain and Monastery or other great day tour destinations near Barcelona

Then you will have done it all!
